The last couple of months have seen a steady flow of new patches ready for Destiny 2 after its weekly update has gone live, and like clockwork, there’s a new update that has been applied to the game.

While the patch deals with the usual technical maintenance that provides plenty of stability for the game, there are some interesting tweaks to take notice of Come from Sports betting site VPbet. In the Exotic department, a lingering issue with Synthoceps has been fixed as there were reports of the Biotic Enhancements perk preventing the shattering of an encased player with an uncharged melee.

The value of individual shares in American online sportsbook and daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings Incorporated reportedly fell by 4.2% yesterday following news that a key specialist had recommended taking up a short position on its stock.

According to a Tuesday report from American television broadcaster CNBC, the advice from Hindenburg Research LLC came after the investments research enterprise published a report in which it questioned the sportsbetting giant’s promotional spend and future potential. The analyst purportedly also threw doubt on Nasdaq-listed DraftKings Incorporated’s valuation when compared to rivals such as the soon-to-go-public FanDual Group before alleging that the company may have had ties to questionable gambling practices.

Rapid rise:

Boston-headquartered DaftKings Incorporated quickly took advantage of the United States Supreme Court’s 2018 revocation of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protections Act (PASPA) and is currently licensed to offer its mobile-friendly remote sportsbetting services in seven states including the important markets of New Jersey, Indiana and New York. The firm reportedly saw the individual value…

Can you believe Hearthstone turns ten this year? My bank manager can, because over the course of that decade I could have bought a small car rather than a near-complete card collection, but here we are. This week, Blizzard released a slew of announcements about what to expect from what it has dubbed The Year of the Pegasus. (Fun fact: Pegasus was the game’s internal codename during early development.)

Let’s run through them:

From today: free cards for logging in

The celebrations kicked off earlier today with a patch that added 12 brand new cards for everyone, including a legendary. Each of the 11 classes received a “Gift” card, all of which cost 1-Mana and generate a temporary copy of an iconic card from your class. So, for example, the Warrior version is called Garrosh’s Gift and it reads: “Discover a temporary Execute, Shield Block, or Brawl”.

What I like about the Gifts is that they essentially function like a mini sideboard, enabling you to run extra copies of single-target removal, board clears, card draw etc. Obviously, you’re paying a premium for that flexibility because you have to pay 1-Mana up front and

Larian has opened preorders for an $80 physical Deluxe Edition version of Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC, PS5, and Xbox. The new variant comes with disc copies of the game and soundtrack, as well as assorted “feelies” like stickers and a poster, all in a glorious throwback case that feels like the PC big boxes of yesteryear. The Deluxe Edition is expected to ship in the first quarter of 2024.

I was forever scalded by the horrendous “Inquisitor’s Edition” of Dragon Age: Inquisition back in 2014—I was just a boy! It was a bunch of cheap plastic crap! God may forgive BioWare, but I won’t. Ever since, I’ve avoided preorder videogame collector’s editions.

This, of course, bit me in the ass when I realized Baldur’s Gate 3 might be my new all-time favorite just in time for its mondo-monster collector’s edition (complete with giant Illithid statue) to start commanding four-figure price tags on eBay. This new Deluxe Edition feels like divine intervention—I’m saved! More dorky tchotchkes for me to put on my bookshelves.

The Deluxe Edition comes with the pre-existing Digital Deluxe goodies like Divinity-themed items and a digital art book, but we’re…

Life By You is a new game in development at Paradox Interactive that aims to out-Sims the Sims: It’s an open-world game that uses “real language conversations,” enables players to take direct control of in-game avatars, and will come with a suite of customization tools that will “allow for unparalleled levels of storytelling.” Development is also being headed up by Rod Humble, who prior to becoming general manager at developer Paradox Tectonic was the head of EA’s Sims label for several years.

It’s an ambitious project, and as associate editor Lauren Morton wrote earlier this month, it will provide some long-overdue competition for The Sims, which has effectively owned the “dollhouse-core simulation genre” for more than 20 years. Unfortunately, she (and the rest of us) are going to have to wait a little longer than expected before we’ll get to see whether it can deliver on that front, as the early access release planned for September has been pushed to March 5, 2024.

“The additional time gives the development studio, Paradox Tectonic, the ability to improve the game’s visuals and UI,” Paradox said. “These improvements will not only affect the overall look and f…

When Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone announced back in April that his life-consuming farm-life sim would be getting another update, he described 1.6 as “mostly changes for modders (which will make it easier & more powerful to mod)”, saying the number of new additions would be “much less than 1.5.” He’s got Haunted Chocolatier to work on, after all.

Then he tweeted a picture of some kind of JojaMart gold parrot, suggesting the less-popular pro-capitalism side of Stardew would be getting a little love in the update. And now he’s shared a sneak peek of what the 1.6 update will contain, and it’s a lot more than just changes for modders.

Among the additions are “Joja alternatives to some of the end-game quests”, which is presumably what that greedy parrot’s connected to. There are also three festivals on the list (one major, two mini), as well as “100+ new lines of dialogue”, a new kind of farm, winter clothes for the inhabitants of Pelican Town, more items and crafting recipes, “New late-game content, which expands on each of the skill areas”, and support for eight-player multiplayer on PC.

Finally, Barone notes the 1.6 update will include “Many small …
